We can easily underestimate the power of surrender. In the God's Word translation, Psalm 37:7 reads,
Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him. There are three hard words in this verse. They are surrender, wait, and patiently. These are not words or concepts we easily embrace. They are hard, yet so necessary for a life worth living. The practice of surrender comes out of my own wrestling with God in living His way versus my way. I've lived long enough to know that His ways are better even when they don't feel or look like it. I've found solace in practicing surrender. I pray you will do the same as you take a practice each day to meditate on and assimilate into your life.
