This book, a sequel to County Durham Aviation Stories, describes some of the early aviation antics in County Durham, Zeppelin raids in World War I and the crash of a Spitfire above Stanhope in March 1942. Other chapters deal with fund-raising efforts to "buy" fighter aircraft, a post-war mystery and an incident at Teesside Airport that involved a radioactive cannister!
