Four Nights in the D.R. is a collection of short stories that explores the growing interchange and commingling of aging North Americans with the generous, exceptional people of one Caribbean island. Accompanying this volume is Other Scribblings, a series of essays, poems and stories by the author that, quite frankly, have nowhere else to go. Together they convey the idea that, no matter our assorted geographies, we are all humans living on the same planet, experiencing the same wants and needs, desires and passions. With so much in common, we might as well be nice to each other while we try to figure it all out.
