This book is a remembrance of Pastor Rodney Duron, whose life influenced thousands of people during his forty-plus years of pastoral ministry in Shreveport, Louisiana. The content of the book came from personal journals that I kept over the 13 years and 9 months during which I had the God-given privilege to walk with Pastor in many different settings: hospital ministry, staff meetings, funerals, worship services, the daily 6am prayer meetings, the 10pm prayer services on Friday nights, and occasional rides to the local Dairy Queen. During these times, Pastor taught me, by his words and actions, life lessons that have shaped my life and philosophy of ministry and which compelled me to write this book. His life is a pattern for future generations of what it means to live for the glory of God.
