In 2012 Bart Ehrman released another New York Times Best Seller, DID JESUS EXIST? Ehrman argues for the existence of a man named Jesus, a Jewish apocalyptic prophet who thought he was the Messiah and died a criminal's death under Roman Law. It was a landmark book that pushed the argument that Jesus certainly existed. However, the book has many scholarly but toxic opinions regarding the reliability of the Gospels, who Jesus was, and his end-time predictions that scholars like Ehrman and Schweitzer believe Jesus was wrong about, and therefore not the prophesied Son of God. This book, JESUS DOES EXIST, seeks to extract the meat (good truth), and expose the deadly bones of toxic unbelief that have gripped Ehrman's life and academic career.
