Whenever I teach beginners, I acknowledge how special this moment is, how much curiosity and energy comes with it - and it is my job as a teacher to retain and sustain this curiosity and energy. Over the course of the many years in which I've been teaching, I have come to realize the vast differences in which humans think about the piano, and music. Every time I came across a way of a student's comprehension that I did not experience before, I found myself listening intently to that student, trying to find a way to get a specific concept across to them in a way that will click uniquely with them. And so, over the years, I came to develop different methods that seem to have answered most questions and comprehension styles. This book, therefore, will attempt to preemptively detail common confusions, and suggest ways to clarify them.
