Christine Ruth Allred was born on April 18, 1972, in a devoutly polygamist household. Her parents, Rex Allred and Ruthann LeBaron, were active members of the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), a fundamentalist Latter-Day Saint sect that practices plural marriage. Christine's grandfather, Rulon C. Allred, founded the AUB, which made her family prominent within this religious community.
Growing up in such an environment shaped Christine's worldview significantly. She has often spoken fondly of her childhood, describing her parents as "perfect" examples of harmonious polygamous living. Despite being surrounded by controversy due to their lifestyle, Christine recalls a happy upbringing filled with love and support.
She attended Taylorsville High School, graduating in 1990. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, where she would soon embark on a journey that intertwined faith, love, and family.
