The migration phenomenon from Africa to Europe, with Spain as the main gateway through the Strait of Gibraltar and the Canary Islands, constitutes one of the most pressing humanitarian, social, and political challenges of the 21st century. This report addresses the entire migration process: from the structural causes in the countries of origin to rescue, reception, and integration policies in Spain, including the role of NGOs and the funding sources that sustain it. Through proposals such as humanitarian corridors ("Safe Bridge Spain 2025") and preventive strategies at origin ("Roots for the Future"), alternatives are explored to mitigate suffering and transform the crisis into an opportunity for shared development.
