The first part of the book "Offshore Cooking" (whose literal translation from the original italian version would be "Cooking in the High Seas") describes the experience of this Italian chef after he moved onto a sailboat for the first time and how, later on, he discovered local traditional dishes and products while island hopping in the South Pacific Ocean. A sailing trip that changed his life forever.
Cooking has been Dario's passion for many years. He started cooking at 13 years old after his parents separated. At 17 he started working in a restaurant for the first time and at 18 he was already Head Chef while studying Economics at the University of Milan.
Many years later, he bought a 7 meter old race boat in Melbourne (Australia) and decided to live on board through the rigid winter of the capital of Victoria. This lifestyle forced him to optimize all resources such as space and water while cooking, a challenge for anyone.
The second part of the book "Live on a Boat VS Life in a House" analyses all Pros and Cons of living in a floating little home. This book will break many molds and will make you plan some changes in your life.
