Dreamland represents a time before video games and social media where a child's imagination could run rampant, especially when fueled by supportive parents, willing friends (real and imaginary), and the desire to experience more than a particular reality had to offer.
At the beginning of each chapter, think of two or more kids, holding hands and spinning around and around and around in this yard until they got so dizzy they fell to the grass and when they awoke looking up in the sky, sometimes cloudy, sometimes perfectly blue, they realized they were in a different land and so the story goes....
