Working with each other - becoming collaborators is also a goal. Teachers must teach collaboration skills and provide many opportunities for students to practice and use it. This book provides the teacher tips to facilitate collaboration in the classroom.

Teach responsible citizenship. Just as life-long learning and collaboration are important skills, so is developing the qualities and behaviors of responsible citizenship. Teachers provide opportunities for students to practice, discuss, and observe these qualities in themselves and others.
