Tulia Blake is traveling to a historic colonial village in Vermont when the unthinkable happens - her RV breaks down. With Olivia delayed, Tulia is on her own to solve the problem.

With no phone service and a nearly empty tank of gas in her sedan, she's faced with trying to figure out her best course of action and is getting nowhere until a friendly woman pulls up and offers Tulia a spot for the night in her spare bedroom while the RV gets towed to the nearest shop that's capable of working on it. Grateful for the help, Tulia and Cicero join the woman on her farm.

When the body of a farmhand is discovered during a tour of the farm, Tulia realizes the woman might not be quite what she seems. Is she staying with a killer, or is a dangerous outsider targeting the little farm?

She's determined to get to the truth and fast, before she becomes the next victim.
