Media and Entertainment Laws in Japan

This book was written as an update to "Original Texts and English Translations of Japanese Laws and Acts Related to Intellectual Property" published in 2010 to meet growing demands from international content/media/entertainment creators and businesses for updated and industry-specific reference. This book provides English translations of the following four important IP-related laws in Japan;
1) the Copyright Act as promulgated on June 6, 2021 (Act No. 52 of 2021),
2) the Design Act as promulgated on April 1, 2022 (Act No. 42 of 2021).
3) the Trademark Act as promulgated on July 3, 2023 (Act No. 51 of 2023),
4) the Unfair Competition Prevention Act as promulgated on November 29, 2018 (Act No. 33 of 2018).
