Diary of the (Beginner) Option Trader

This book is a true, real life, account of all my option trades over the period of 12 months from July 2023 to June 2024. It provides details of the reasons leading me to make the decisions to open the positions, to keep them open, or to close them. Inevitably, it is filled with emotions associated with individual trades, as well as my understanding and my interpretation of economic conditions present at the time of the trade.

This diary has not started as a book to be published for larger audience. At the beginning, it was simply meant to record my reasoning for making trading decisions, so I could always get back to individual trades, analyse my decision making during the trade, and hopefully learn from it.

The idea of making it available for others was born much later. The reason was to share my experiences, emotions and decisions with other beginner traders. I hope that this book will not necessarily show the reader howe to make the trades, but rather, how not to make them. That it will show more of my failures and mistakes, rather that my successes. Finally, the ultimate goal and the reason behind publishing this Diary is to allow other beginner traders to learn from my mistakes.
