Autobiographical in nature, this book uses poetic words, images, and prose to give a glimpse of what it feels like to love and be married to a covert passive-aggressive narcissist. This compilation of poetry paints a portrait of what it is like to be in a long-term relationship with a narcissist, and how it impacts the psyche. How across time, and in the relationship, you become a different person, if a person at all. Some pieces in this book are written from places of great anguish and display first-person feelings. Other pieces are written from a place of knowledge, reflection, and understanding of the human psyche. I hope this book enables readers to understand love, abuse, and its conundrum, especially surrounding relational dynamics. Glass House was written for three reasons: 1) To validate my experience, 2) To help friends and family visualize the lives of loved ones in similar situations, and 3) To create a space of inclusivity for those who feel incredibly alone and unseen.
