It Wouldn't be Christmas Without You: A love story for pet lovers

Abby Hollybrook has a PhD in canine love. She is the founder of the Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in the ski town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies. When she finds her lost earring taped to a lamppost near her shelter she is about to learn that life can flip at the fall of a snowflake. This silver earring was given to her ten Christmas's ago by her high school crush Max Granger, her brother's best friend. Max never returned her feelings because at the time he had a girlfriend who is now married to Abby's brother. But the two buddies aren't talking anymore. And Abby hasn't a clue why. Does it have to do with her brother's ex, who just happens to be Abby's landlady? When Max returns to their hometown as the new fire chief with a daughter and two rescues he wishes to rehome, little does Abby know that Luke and Lucy, Max's two adorable but unruly pups, are about to change her life. But the landlady hates the dogs and she hates Abby. Fortunately, she doesn't hate Max. Max's landlord no longer allows dogs and Abby's landlady jumps at the chance to find him a new place. Abby however is on her eviction list. If she can't train Max's dogs, and if she fails to win a government grant to keep her rescue center open all will be lost. But will it be enough to set things right? Will Abby and Max get together or will Abby's landlord force them apart?
