A Spring day is hardly the setting for a murder or two. Violent deaths should come in a howling March blizzard. Which, in this case, they did.
Cat Amberson and her close-knit group of students, the Tuesday Night Painters, have been meeting for so long they know everything about each other's lives. Or so they think when Cat's best friend, Annie, is found dead alongside her new husband. When her spirit appears to Cat charging the group to work together and free David, a fellow painter, from suspicion, they dig into not only the mystery but also their own stories.
Aided by Annie's spirit, they attempt to clear Annie's former husband, David, by solving who was really responsible. Their attempts are clouded by town gossip and secrets, and their own personal battles. Judgements arise and as secrets emerge the painters grow individually and as a group.
Friends become sisters, dogs intervene and a loving spirit helps solve the mystery of what happened that night.
