JÉRÔME CLOCHARD had the privilege of living on the island of Houat in Brittany for five years, a period that initiated his passionate relationship with the ocean. After several years of dedicated sailing in the Gulf of Morbihan, he worked as a diver and combat swimmer in the military for over a decade-an extraordinary experience of immersion and connection with the ocean.
Enthusiastic about open sea swimming, he later started a small, friendly winter swimming group on the Fouras peninsula in Charente-Maritime: the
"Pelagos Swimming Social Club." Today, the turquoise waters of Finistère's wild beaches welcome him daily as he practices sea bathing with ever-renewed joy.
