In the year 2110, mankind has explored the vastness of our known solar system. Ascension, the company that created the engine that allowed us to travel at near lightspeed, created the space station Orion, on Pluto's moon Charon. Sergeant Jerimiah Wilkes lives aboard the Orion, where he has learned that he will be boarding the brand new Ascension ship called the Corzin, her mission is to begin exploring outside our known solar system, where Pirates are known to traverse using retrofitted vessels stolen from Ascension.
