Graves of the Undying

Men fall in battle without truly dying, and women give birth once in their lives. The cycle of life and death has been broken. Speaker, captain of the Sea-Born mercenary company, has been contacted by a power that promises to help him end the ceaseless butchery. Before he can agree to conspire with the power, he must first discover who - or what - is behind it.

While Speaker looks for answers, a shadow from before creation stalks his company, an insane nobleman enlists his aid, and pregnant woman seeks refuge in his care. Kami and demons stalk the land. And the Sea-Born company must choose wisely which of them can help the most, before the decision is made for them.
