April Danser wakes up in South America with no idea how she got there, but within minutes knows that she is a dangerous and criminal situation.

As she unravels the mystery and fights to survive, she discovers that her brain and thinking have been damaged. Soon, she is taking flights of madness or freedom, she knows not which.

After untangling herself from the evil and criminal claws, she returns to her home in Florida, where the flights continue and bring to her a new purpose in life: discovery and wonder.

What is a professional jazz violinist to do when her playing begins to awaken dead children who find their way to her?

Retiring from her popular quartet, Karen Danser heads home to her family's compound on the beach in Central Florida. Scaling the ten foot wall that surrounds the grounds, she discovers a cemetery full of dead of all ages.

Taking out her violin, she begins a wandering, slow jazz melody It isn't long before a few long dead children bravely approach her. When they begin the dance, Karen is inspired to play for the rest of the night. By dawn, there are nine little boys and girls in their grave tattered clothes, smiling and dancing. There is little more natural than dead children enjoying themselves with lively, beautiful music.
