My Daddy, My Hero

A loving tale about a young boy and his admiration of his daddy's superpower - a prosthetic leg. This story is near and dear to my heart. Based on the love I witness between father and son daily, My Daddy, My Hero aims to honor all who have sacrificed to serve our country, whether a member of the military or a first responder. My husband, whom the story is based on, lost his leg to an IED in Afghanistan in 2010. He was only one of many critically wounded veterans during this exceptionally tumultuous time. His life changed drastically, and though it has been 15 years since the initial injury, some of the scars remain fresh. My Daddy, My Hero demonstrates the love and admiration of a child, the kind that works to heal those invisible scars left by war.
