Carl the Crow is a heartwarming fictional story about a real crow in Pioneer Park in Corvallis, Oregon, who sounded like a duck. This story was written during, and inspired by, the global pandemic and west coast wildfires of 2020, when many people became homeless.
The author Lisa and her husband Kyle are from Walland, Tennessee. They moved to Corvallis, Oregon in 2020, where they live with their dog Scooby and their cat Lexie. Lisa is a retired RN and Kyle is a retired machinist.
