Forked Tongue

"Forked Tongue" tells the story of a pregnant lady who had a close call with death. She almost drives off a cliff when her brakes fail. She has other close calls, too. Her best friend reports the attempts to the police when she won't report them herself. When detectives investigate, they learn that her brake line was most likely cut. Her husband, a PhD. who teaches Psychology at a nearby college, is the logical suspect. He has a student who he is having an affair with, urging him to leave his wife. They also learn that Phyllis is having an affair with a male friend. Who is the father of her child and who is behind the attempts on her life? Things aren't what they seem, and the plot keeps you guessing to the last page.
