ABC's of Easter

There are few better opportunities for conveying the Gospel message to others than the celebration of Easter. Many church traditions use Lent as an opportunity for preparing hearts to understand the meaning of the suffering and death of Jesus on behalf of sinners. This book is meant to help children and their families to think more deeply through the significance of the Easter Story, as they learn the meaning behind twenty-six different Easter concepts. The idea of the ABC's of Easter is that children (and their parents) will have an opportunity to explore, discuss, and understand more what it means that Christ suffered for sinners, and why Easter is such a magnificent celebration of Christ's victory over sin and death. It is my prayer that this simple book helps both children and parents to understand better the beauty of Jesus our Savior, and the depths of His love for His people.

To use this book: Some families may enjoy simply reading through one letter per day, in the 26 days leading up to Easter; or you might start at the beginning of Lent, reading Monday-Friday, to finish right around Easter. There is an included workbook with Easter eggs to cut out and display for each letter. There are also corresponding verses for each reading, which may be used to go deeper into the theme or the context.
