It was only after an egg donation in Denmark that Daniela had a second line on the pregnancy test. This was preceded by ten years of unfulfilled desire to have children with dozens of treatments in German fertility clinics.
Now, thanks to a Danish donor, Daniela, and her partner are parents to a wonderful son. Since treatment with donated eggs is not allowed in Germany, they had to go abroad for the chance of having a child.
Daniela tells how they went from being a couple wanting a child to being a family after egg donation and what was important in the process, such as the legal basis, choice of clinic, type of donation, and educating the child and those around them.
Interviews and information complement Daniela's journey.
