Born to an off-reserve Aboriginal family, conceived by an alcoholic father, and placed in foster care at the age of 6 months, I lived lost for five years in a forest of foster homes.
I then took refuge in my mind, in my heart and in my soul to discover my tastes, my preferences and my aspirations and to hang the means to flourish.
This touching book reveals the questions, emotions, thoughts and journey that led me to be proud of my origins and to become Chief of Native Nation, which I am trying to have recognized as a Nation by the Department of Indian Affairs of Canada.
