Sie Sie Starfish lives in a beautiful, sparkling, deep blue ocean on Laramie Coral Reef. Sie Sie has spent her entire life here, enjoying playing with her friends and searching for her favourite foods.
Now, Sie Sie must travel to a new reef leaving her beloved home behind.

This story was inspired by several students that Kenndy had met while in school. The children and youth left their homes in countries including war torn Syria, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The author was affected greatly by their bravery, resiliency and ability to learn new languages and adapt.
