Welcome to our Matyas Hungarian Cookbook. This cookbook is a mother/daughter legacy project to document our family recipes to pass on to future generations.
We tested and retested all of the recipes and spent hours waiting for gypsy steak to marinate, stuffed peppers to simmer, dough to double in size and plums to thicken into jam.
After all of the time we spent in the kitchen carefully crafting each recipe, our favourite recipes remain: chicken soup, chicken paprikash, dumplings and walnut torte.
