This is a memoir about the journey of losing a child at 35 weeks pregnant and the medical woes that came from it. God was there, daily, teaching and listening. Journal entries, sermons, poems were written to help the soul journey through grief and learn to trust God again. After a miscarriage, rock bottom was found. After that a glimpse of hope from another pregnancy, but this time through COVID. He survived and we survived the valley.
Carly Tonniges is a Christian poet and author of the memoir Finding Joy in the Dark Days. After receiving the sudden news of the passing of her unborn daughter, Carly began to journal and write many poems and lyrics as she worked through her many layers of grief. She asked God many questions on this hard journey of faith and He revealed so many answers to prayer along the way. Carly is a wife and mother who hails from Omaha, Nebraska and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has a passion for writing, music and all things Agriculture.
