Addiction does not discriminate. Young or old, rich or poor, race, creed, sexual orientation, it simply does not matter. And it doesn't matter who you are or who you know, it will take you down every time. Or simply kill you. There is a solution however, and regardless of what anyone says, you can get sober and stay sober. The key: you have to want to be sober and you have to surrender everything about yourself. How you live, think, and just exist, all must go, you must learn to kill your ego, letting go of anger, resentment, pride to name a few. Most importantly, you must admit defeat. For it is in defeat that we find victory.
