When You Least Expect It

Marlo is a young, independent, gorgeous woman who is anxiously awaiting the rest of her life's arrival. Although she appears to have it all together, though, there is one thing stopping Marlo from her happiness-her inability to cope with her parents' deaths from four years earlier. Anxious to move past this difficult time in her life, she chooses to escape to Seward, Alaska, the place where her parents' lives were ultimately taken, in search of closure and understanding.

Coming to her rescue and without knowing it, is Duncan James, a polite, sarcastic, sexy, Salmon fisherman by day and pub owner by night. Meeting a woman like Marlo Hart was not in his future plans, but he doesn't have a choice when she shows up unexpectedly on his dock asking for directions to the nearest cabin. Upon meeting a woman like Marlo Hart, was unforeseen, but seeing Marlo and all her beauty may distract Duncan from casting his nets and serving his drinks.

With the help of Duncan and a few other memorable, welcoming characters along the way, Marlo is able to finally find peace with her parents' departure in ways that nobody, including the natives of Seward, see coming.
