The name of the book, Stripped, was chosen because drugs and alcohol stripped anything good I ever had in my life.
This is a story about a troubled youth that comes from a broken home who experiences tough struggles from a young age to adulthood. He watched his family break apart at a young age only to go onto committing crimes and going to a youth detention facility at the age of eleven. He dedicated his life to the con code and would go on to drinking and doing drugs to escape his pain. His crimes got worse, and his jail sentences got longer until he became an adult and started doing jail sentences in the county jail. The county jail wasn't enough for him. He kept committing crimes to feed his addiction of opiates and crack cocaine until he went to prison for the first time. He got out of prison and was only out for a short period of time until he went back to prison. This time he would enter a rehab program in prison where he turned his life around. Things were going great for him when he got out of prison until he had a traumatic work accident that landed him in a wheelchair. But he was a fighter.
