Partaking of communion and partaking in communion is a lifestyle. Our sanctification journey is Blood- and Word-dependent. The Blood of Jesus Christ begins the process for us, the Word of God sustains the journey.
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. (Hebrews 13:12 NKJV)
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22 KJV)
Our knowledge of the Word of God is only as effective as our knowledge of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Understanding the communion makes a difference in our fellowship and service in the kingdom of God.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14 NKJV)
