Helen, a nurse at a Health Centre in her village had been very unsuccessful in life and was a victim of circumstances. Her past life was not very smooth; life meant nothing to her. In fact, she was only idling and waiting for the cold hands of death. If there was anything she cared about, it was her little daughter Linda, who attends a primary school in the same village.
Many girls face such crises; only a few would handle it the way she did. Even though her life was marked with turbulence, her physical appearance was the kind that would merit a second glance from anyone who sees her for the first time. Though of average height, she could still pull out her movement and posture very pleasant so that she could easily be taken for a model. Dark in complexion and plump, the colour of her eyes was capable of driving any man crazy. Little or nothing could be criticized about her. Her misery began in a small village in the North West Province of Cameroon known as Mboakwe.
