A serial killer has the women and the city of Chicago in fear after a string of mutilated bodies began to litter the city. A Retired U. S. Navy Seal turn Detective, Misty Kilgore, along with his partner Charley Pettigrew, are assigned to the case.

When the threat hits close to home after the killer targets Misty's family, Misty knows he must protect his family and the city. Still, the killer is relentless and baits the detectives into a hunt that becomes personal. It's up to Misty and Charley to save Lori, his family, and the city of Chicago from this monster.

L. A. Mont'e was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967. He resides in Parker, Colorado, with his wife, four children, five grandchildren, and two dogs. He joined the Navy in 1985 and retired in 2014. He was a Deputy Sheriff for six years in Colorado before his career with the Railroad, which he retired from in 2024. His hobbies are golf and physical fitness.
