Ahead of the Hounds

Ahead of the Hounds is a collection of happenings in a small town in Central Kentucky, as seen through the eyes of one of the doctor's wives, Jonelle Fisher. Featuring events between 1959 and 1986, Jonelle shares highlights of some of the heartaches and joys that the Midway community experienced during this time. The heroes of her stories are two general practitioners, Ben Roach and Norman (Jack) Fisher, who devoted their lives to the health and welfare of the townspeople while keeping a spirited sense of humor about themselves and the practice.
