Imagine being a young girl, running away from home at the tender age of 14. Unfortunately, it's a story that is all too common for many women who have faced unimaginable childhood trauma. But what sets these women apart is their ability to rise above their circumstances and conquer the shame that once held them captive. I, too, was one of those women. By age 15, I found myself a wife and a mother. The weight of shame was, at times, suffocating. Little did I know that my journey was just the beginning of something beautiful; however, it would take me over four decades to share with the world the masterpiece God was creating.
