On the heels of solving one case, Angelo and his trusty partner Lewis are back to focusing on solving Lucy's murder. The mysterious Vanesa, who first told Angelo Lucy was murdered for her role in a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company she worked for, has come out of hiding. Vanesa, whom Angelo has confusing feelings for, wants to help but seems to be holding something back.

Angelo, Lewis, and their friends in the FBI are racing against time and threats to their own lives as they follow the clues to a group of dirty NYPD cops and somebody in the mayor's office, perhaps Mayor Daniels himself. The pharmaceutical company will stop at nothing to protect the millions of dollars they stand to make on their latest drug, even if it's killing people. Will Angelo sniff out the lies and put all the pieces together in time to save lives and finally get justice for Lucy?
