Jessica Gray wasn't made for city life. Between constant overstimulation and med school
clinicals, her perfect mask is slipping. Just like her late mother, she copes with booze and pills,
but even her best friend Angie and her almost-flame Gabe are getting tired of cleaning up her
messes.

The only place she can breathe is her family's ranch. When a UFO crashes her quiet weekend
away, Jess adds questioning her sanity to her to-do list. Until buried memories start to resurface,
suggesting that whatever was driving that spaceship has been watching her for a while-maybe
even since before her mother died.

The intergalactic conflict she uncovers upends everything she thought she knew about her past.
Saving the ranch-and the world-will require some good ole rural grit, and Jess and her friends
can supply it. But only if she can avoid getting distracted by her feelings for Gabe. Who could
