Description

It didn't end with the apostles...

To the rapidly-growing underground churches in the eastern part of the world - who have nothing to hold fast to but the unchangeable Word of God and unshakable presence of Jesus - the dynamic power of the Holy Ghost and the gifts that He brings are an everyday reality. But to the western church - with all its systems and structures, agendas and politics, programs and seminaries - the power of the Holy Ghost is an interruption, an inconvenience, and even an embarrassment.

We have adapted our theology to conform to a powerless, religious reality. We have entire conferences and summits devoted to dismissing the Holy Ghost and demonizing His activity. It is no wonder that the western church is in decline, and it is no wonder that religious deconstruction is on the rise. From our pulpits, we have preached a God who is supernatural and a church birthed in the fires of the Upper Room while offering a faith life that is completely devoid of the power to see the sick healed, the dead raised, the bound delivered, the broken restored, and lives transformed and empowered.

But there is a growing hunger in the west for what religious systems and organizations cannot offer. There is a people burning with desperation to see heaven invade earth, to walk in the supernatural reality that was so normal for the first century church. These are a revival people, and they will stop at nothing to see God pour out His Spirit on a dry and thirsty land.

Because revival is more than a buzzword. Revival is the presence of Jesus Himself made manifest.
