Modern RPGs allow you to step into a role. For a while, you become the avatar on an adventure, participating in intriguing storylines and resolving complicated situations. Then, you can pause the action and go back to your regular life: working, studying, dating, and getting the car maintenance done. Your reality looks nothing like your gaming life.

What if I told you most churchgoers are like that? They enter the church building and become the avatars on an adventure. They navigate through the levels of church life, gaining points and resolving situations. Then, they "pause the action" and return to their regular lives, which have little to do with their church life.

Are you Gaming Life? If there is a "church you," distinct from the "work you," "social you," and "family you," then you've made your life like a Role-Playing Game. You step in and out of various roles without integrating your Christian faith into them.
