Romeo Goes Home is the true story of how author Marty Jo McPherson meets her beloved rescue dog, Romeo. Romeo, a Yorkie-Beagle-Maltese mix, is a six-month old puppy living in an animal shelter. Marty Jo is a single woman living alone in a quiet apartment on the other side of town. One day, Marty Jo decides she needs another heartbeat in her home, so she drives to the local shelter in search of a new friend. There she finds Romeo and their special bond begins.
