Have you ever wondered what would happen if the magic of Renaissance Faires was real?

Mairead is an inn wench on a mission to reconnect with old friends and enjoy the nostalgia of returning home after a decade away. She is eager to enjoy the music of bagpipes and indulge in her favorite mead. But her day does not go as planned; the magic has a different plan for her. She ends up somewhere that she never expected, in a situation that is unbelievable but perhaps not unwelcome. She finds herself in a place (and time) she has dreamt of, seeing a man who is quite possibly the most attractive man she has ever seen (and the most vexing). Donnchadh MacLeod is a laird plagued by pains and sorrows until a beautiful but confusing lass steps out of the mists and into his life. She may not be who she seems, but she may be just what his bruised and battered heart, as well as his clan need.
