Mort the Flightless Rat

Mort wishes more than anything to fly like the birds. He comes up with a bunch of ideas to try and fly! But he soon finds out that flying is more difficult than he thought. Will his wish of flying come true? Or will he be stuck as a flightless rat?

Mort's character is based on a real pet rat. Mort is very adventurous and loves to climb everything. Anytime he goes somewhere new, his nose is the first thing to move! He's been caught climbing across pumpkins, jumping into the laundry hamper, and even climbing up the side of the couch! The biggest inspiration he had for this book is his strong headed attitude. If he wants something, you better believe he'll do anything to get it!
