Tenja and Raben were happy mommas. The birth of their triplets had been a joyous surprise. When magic began to emerge in all three boys, that joy became immeasurable. A family of five, they lived days full of adventure and discovery. But just after the boys' seventh birthday the magic of their world, Easpach, began to resonate inconsistently. Upon receipt of a message from Draiocht, the sister world supplying magic to Easpach, Raben set off to fix magic.

A decade has passed while Tenja immersed herself in the role of single momma. She did her best to fill the void left by Raben and give the boys a peaceful life. Now that peace has been disrupted as the battle to save magic has landed on their doorstep and turned their lives upside down. With the boys suddenly targets for use as hostages in the battle, Tenja, Hodgens, Graysen, and Conner embark on a quest to save Easpach. Together, with a little help from some unexpected friends, they race against time to ensure the existence of magic.
